The Foundation Center for Research endeavors to add to and improve the body of knowledge relating to learning environments and best practices of educational facility planning. The Foundation seeks out, identifies and fosters research, projects and other works that impact the environment where students learn and expand the collection of data and best practices through stewardship of an endowment of funds and services. Donations may be designated for the Foundation Center for Research.
The Dale Scheideman Scholarship program is a nationally competitive merit-based scholarship program designed for undergraduate and post-graduate students who desire financial support for their undergraduate and post-graduate educational opportunities. This scholarship award was created by the CEFPI Foundation & Charitable Trust to honor the significant contributions to the field of facility planning and design by the late Dale Scheideman – architect; Director of New School and Facility Planning, Clark County School District; and Foundation Chairman.
The Paragon Schoolhouse Project is an outreach program of the CEFPI Foundation dedicated to help support school districts improve the built learning environment for students, staff and the communities that they serve.
Spotlighting our nation's schools and reinforcing the connection between school facilities and student learning, School Building Week includes outstanding events throughout the nation. School Building Week engages schools and school districts of every size, successfully creating greater public awareness of the importance of well-planned, high performing, healthy and sustainable schools that enhance student success and well being and serve as centers of community.
A benefit tournament is held each year at the Council of Educational Facility Planners International's annual conference. Proceeds from the tournament help support the CEFPI Foundation & Charitable Trust.
